Description:

If you were living someone else’s life, do you think your mind would work the same way?

Everything we experience throughout our lives shapes our psychological and biological structures. Each individual develops in a complex web of stimuli and relationships, and the ability of the environment to support or restrict us, to feed us with fear or love, defines our inner mechanisms.

mind-moving invites you to explore this profound question through a unique journey into the complexity of human experiences. The exhibition is built as a space for reflection and mirroring around universal experiences, which can be both normal responses to the surrounding reality and pathological adaptations to difficult life experiences.

Cristina Lilienfeld, a choreographer and psychology graduate, has been working in Bucharest for 15 years, collaborating with various choreographers, performers, visual artists, and musicians. Her performances include “Lay(ers)”, “Moving Fields,” “Eighty Five Percent Of What You’ Remember,” “B.O.W.”, “Private Self,” and collaborations like “In The Search Of The Lost Body,” “Cancer, coregrafiat,” “Mind Moving,” and “Flowers, Stones and Other Demons.” She has toured with Dance Roads program, PETEC Association, and AREAL collective, aiming to support dialogue and experimentation between diverse artists and institutions. In 2024, she began integrating Body Mind Centering, a somatic complex practice, into her teaching and creative work.

Alexandra Bălășoiu is a performer/choreographer living in Bucharest. She has work experience in the conception and implementation of cultural projects. She is responsible for the main programs and projects carried out by Indie Box. Currently working artistically in relation to mental health and the social perception of madness. She is co-artistic director of AREAL – space for choreographic development
